WJHG: Federal judge rules indigent felons must be allowed to vote

Reggie interviewed with Capitol News Service about the ruling allowing indigent felons to register to vote.

Clemency lawyer Reggie Garcia noted the ruling also states if you were appointed a public defender or had your financial obligations converted to civil leans you will be automatically allowed to register.

Court fees alone can also not block you from registering.

Time remains to be seen how many will take advantage of it. This I think at least creates more clarity than there's been the last 18 months,” said Garcia.

Reggie is an AV Preeminent®-rated attorney by Martindale-Hubbell, achieving the rating agency’s highest marks for both competency and ethics.
An elite group of approximately 10 percent of all attorneys holds an AV Preeminent Rating, a designation trusted worldwide by buyers and referrers of legal services.

The hiring of a lawyer is an important decision that should not be based solely upon advertisements.
